About Kara:

Kara Monssen is a food and wine editor and restaurant critic at the Herald Sun in Melbourne, Australia. In other words, she’s a full-time eater, part-time drinker and advocate of us living our most delicious lives. Kara is a passionate MC and presenter, hosting several events across Australia.

She’s worked with brands such as Lexus Australia with Nigella Lawson, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Taste Port Douglas, Eat, Drink, Play Gippsland, Ballarat Heritage Harvest Weekend and more.

Kara is also an authority in food, wine and restaurant trends, providing commentary for media outlets around the world such as 3AW Melbourne, BBC London, Sunrise, 7 News Melbourne, Nine News Melbourne and the ABC.

She also has a keen interest in wine, completing her WSET (Wine Spirits Education Trust) Level 2 qualification, and hosts speaking events for the drinks industry.
